Lewi Brown is a New Zealand footballer whose collaboration with ASICS and Sydney streetwear label Earls runs deeper than design. The GEL-CUMULUS™ 16 is a sneaker built on memory — custom insoles recreating the carpet from Brown's childhood Christchurch home, materials referencing his support from his whānau and Māori heritage.
Contracted through Pink Digital, we were on the ground at the Sydney launch to capture the energy of the night — the printed carpet, the crowd, and the moments between. Photography from the event ran across ASICS Sportstyle AU's channels, reaching the communities this collaboration was built for.
